This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Valynx Application, and informs you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
We use your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Words with capitalized initial letters have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
Account means a unique account created for you to access our Application or parts of our Application.
Application refers to Valynx, the software program provided by the Company, available for Android and iOS mobile devices.
Company (referred to as “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Valynx.

Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a mobile phone or digital tablet.
Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
Service refers to the Application.

It refers to third-party companies or individuals employed by the Company to facilitate the Service, provide the Service on behalf of the Company, perform services related to the Service, or assist the Company in analyzing how the Service is used.
Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or by the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. However, Valynx is designed to work primarily locally, so the collection of usage data is minimal:
Firebase Remote Config: We use Firebase Remote Config solely to obtain remote configurations (such as the app’s review mode). We do not collect personal data through Firebase Remote Config. This functionality only reads predefined configuration values.
Google Drive (Optional): If you choose to use the Google Drive backup functionality, OAuth 2.0 authentication is required. Access tokens are stored locally on your device. Backup files are stored in your Google Drive account under your control. We do not access any other data from your Google Drive account.
Local Notifications: Notifications are scheduled and managed locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers for notifications.
Important: Valynx does NOT collect usage data such as IP addresses, device identifiers, browsing information, or diagnostic data, as the application works primarily offline and locally.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
To manage your Account: Managing your user profile and settings within the application.
Backup and Restoration: If you choose to use the Google Drive backup functionality, your data is stored in your Google Drive account to allow restoration on other devices. Backups can also be performed locally on your device.
Security: Using your PIN (hashed) and biometric preferences to protect access to your financial information.
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except in the following situations:
Local Storage: Most of your personal data is stored locally on your device using SQLite and AsyncStorage. This data remains on your device until you:
Google Drive Backup (Optional): If you choose to use the Google Drive backup functionality, backup files are stored in your Google Drive account. You can delete these backups at any time from your Google Drive account or from the application.
Security Data Retention: PIN and security question hashes are retained while the security functionality is active. You can delete this data by disabling the PIN from the application settings.
The Company will retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Primary Storage: Your personal data is stored primarily on your local device. We do not transfer your personal data to external servers, except in the optional case of Google Drive backup.
Google Drive Backup (Optional): If you choose to use the Google Drive backup functionality, your data may be transferred and stored on Google’s servers, which may be located outside your country of residence. By using this functionality, you agree that your data may be transferred to Google’s servers according to Google’s privacy policies.
Firebase Remote Config: Communication with Firebase Remote Config only involves reading configuration values. No personal data is transferred to Firebase.
Your information may be transferred to and stored on computers located outside your country where data protection laws may differ. By accepting this Policy and using optional cloud backup functionalities, you agree to such transfer.

Security Measures Implemented:
Encrypted Local Storage: Data is stored locally on your device using SQLite, which provides a basic level of protection.
PIN Authentication: Your PIN is stored as a SHA256 hash, never in plain text. This means that even if someone accesses the database, they cannot see your original PIN.
Biometric Authentication: We offer support for Face ID (iOS) and Touch ID / fingerprint (Android) as an additional authentication method. Biometric data is managed by your device’s operating system and is never stored in our application.
Security Questions: Answers to security questions are also stored as SHA256 hashes.
Optional Backup: If you use the Google Drive backup functionality, files are stored in your Google Drive account, which is protected by Google’s security measures.
Security Recommendations:
Our Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to the processing of personal data).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and know that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
If we need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your information and your country requires parental consent, we may require your parent’s consent before we collect and use that information.
Our Application may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
